The Gilchrist-Fisher Award 2018 - shortlist announced

We are delighted to announce that the judges of the Gilchrist-Fisher Award 2018, Harry Cory-Wright, Elizabeth Magill and Laura Ford, have shortlisted the following 6 artists:

Sam Carvosso, Kim Harvey, Tom Hatton, Eunhong Kang, Minyoung Choi and Eugenia Popesco.

The shortlisted artists have been invited to take part in an exhibition at Rebecca Hossack Gallery in March 2018 when the judges will make their final decision. The winner will be announced at the Private View.

The Gilchrist-Fisher Award is a biennial prize established in 1987 open to artists under the age of thirty whose work deals with the broad theme of Landscape.

The winner of The Gilchrist-Fisher Award 2016 was Katalin Vasali, a photographer based in Hungary. 

Previous winners of what the Financial Times has called 'this remarkable and admirable' prize include Peter Doig, Alasdair Wallace and Angela Hughes.
